White Poppy Seeds (Khus Khus)
Poppy seeds come in black and white colour. In my cooking I use only the white poppy seeds in some of my curries. As the seeds are small and hard to blend I usually dry roast them on a medium hot griddle or frypan and then add it to my blender with the other ingredients. Once blended they add a nutty flavour (check out my delicious Lamb Kurma) and also thicken the curries.
